Who or What Influenced You to Become a Nurse?

Was there a nursing professional or some other person who most influenced your decision to become a nurse? Or was there an event that influenced you? What was the reason that you entered the nursing profession. Everyone’s story is different and we want to hear them all. Please tell us… what was it that made you decide to become a nurse?

I took medical assiting in high school. My teacher Mary Beth Colton and my Aunt Jane influenced me to become a nurse. Mrs. Colton always taught me to never give up on your dreams, she taught me all of my clinical skills, secretary and computer skills. My Aunt Jane is also a great person. She is an R.N. and she also taught me never to give up she tells me that i can do it you just cant give up.
